ReStore Merchandising & eCommerce Manager

Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity 

Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity’s Merchandising & eCommerce Manager is responsible for creating visually compelling, customer-friendly store environments that drive sales and align with Habitat’s mission. Oversees all aspects of merchandising, inventory, signage, and product presentation across the three (3) ReStore locations, as well as eCommerce operations. Ensures a cohesive in-store and online experience, optimizes product placement for revenue growth, and maintains brand consistency across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travels to each of the three (3) ReStore locations to develop store layouts, addresses product groupings, and visual displays that maximize customer engagement and sales.
  • Implements and maintains a consistent signage system, including pricing, category, and promotional signage.
  • Plans and executes seasonal displays, special promotions, and clearance events.
  • Stays informed on retail and resale industry trends to incorporate best practices into ReStore merchandising.
  • Creates merchandising guidelines and training for in-store staff to ensure consistency.
  • Regularly reviews sales data and customer traffic patterns to inform merchandising adjustments.
  • Coordinates with store managers to maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floors.
  • Oversees the inter-store movement of inventory to balance supply and demand.
  • Collaborates with store managers on quarterly inventory audits to ensure success.
  • Hires, trains, manages, and coaches an eCommerce Coordinator and take steps to ensure incumbent is well versed so that all policies and practices are understood, and adhered to. 
  • Supervises the part-time eCommerce Coordinator, ensuring timely and accurate online listings.
  • Evaluates performance of direct report. Holds incumbent accountable for meeting objectives by ensuring that performance aligns with expectations.
  • Expands and maintains the ReStore’s eCommerce presence, including photography, descriptions, and pricing strategies.
  • Develops cross-promotional strategies between online and in-store sales.
  • Collaborates with the Donations Team and dock and store management to ensure a smooth product flow.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on the ReStore POS system to be the lead trainer and communicates new processes, best practices and updates as needed.
  • Follows safety protocols and visual merchandising standards.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years of retail merchandising experience, including strong visual merchandising skills with proven ability to increase sales.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of strong management, responsible team leadership, coaching, and training experience
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, etc.).
  • Strong data analysis skills for interpreting sales trends and making strategic decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., including furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and a current Ohio driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and ability to be insurable under commercial insurance
  • Commitment to Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity mission and the principles of Habitat for Humanity International

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Work experience with leading volunteers
  • Multi-store retail merchandising experience
Position Details:

•    Reports To: ReStore Director
•    Department: ReStore
•    Employment Type/Classification: Full-Time (40 hours/week), Exempt
•    Workweek: Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed
•    Work Locations: All ReStore locations; primary location TBD
•    Targeted range: $45,000 - $60,000; commensurate with experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:  This position primarily operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment. However, the role also requires occasional work in outdoor environments, particularly during home visits. Candidates must be comfortable navigating active construction sites and community event settings, sometimes in varying weather conditions. Occasional standing and walking required.
