ReStore Manager

Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, marketing, sales performance of quality donated goods, inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service of one of the retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manages the sales floor merchandise, new and donated inventory, including loss prevention through theft and breakage.

· Hires, trains, manages, and coaches ReStore Staff and take steps to ensure staff is well versed so that all policies and practices are understood, and adhered to.

· Evaluates staff performance. Holds staff accountable for meeting objectives by ensuring that performance aligns with expectations.

· Demonstrates and trains staff in outstanding service to customers, donors, volunteers, and others.

· Creates employee schedules, assigns schedules and responsibilities to employees, checking to see if these responsibilities and assignments are carried through in the store.

· Coordinates and supervises assigned volunteers with help from the Volunteer Department.

· Responsible for register operations and training of staff on register usage.

· Divides their time between completing administrative tasks in the office and interacting with customers in the store.

· Develops store strategies to increase customer engagement, expands store traffic and optimizes profitability.

· Maintains outstanding store conditions, follows safety protocols and visual merchandising standards.

· Conducts quarterly inventory audits, maintains inventory stock levels daily.

· Upholds and maintains the policies for drop-off and pick-up of donations.

· Develops relationships with ongoing ReStore donors.

· Works with the Facilities Manager on viable salvage projects and facility maintenance needs.

· Coordinates with the ReStore Director regarding status of ReStore operation updates.

· Reports status of ReStore operation to management as needed.

· Reports on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.

· Proposes innovative ideas to increase market share.

· Develops a vision and plan with the help of the ReStore Director and coordinates efforts for ongoing relationship with the ReStore Advisory Committee.

· Performs other of a similar nature as may be required.

Qualifications:

Required:

· High school diploma or GED equivalent

· Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated successful experience with retail sales, management, and operations, including a working knowledge of building materials and tools

· Minimum of two (2) years of strong management, responsible team leadership, coaching, and training experience

· Strong computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office

· Demonstrated organizational, motivational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills

· Commitment to creative problem-solving and a cooperative work ethic

· Ability to provide a high level of customer service

· Capacity to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., including furniture, equipment, and fixtures.

· Commitment to Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity mission and the principles of Habitat for Humanity International

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Work experience with volunteers, marketing, and/or operations

· Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English for effective communication with diverse customers.

Position Details:

· Reports to: ReStore Director

· Department: ReStore

· Employment Type/Classification: Full-Time (40 hours/week), Exempt

· Workweek: Tuesday through Saturday; some evening and weekend work will be required.

· Targeted range: $45,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements: This position primarily operates in a retail warehouse setting. The position requires the ability to lift and position items up to 50 lbs. Candidate must be comfortable with frequently standing, walking, and working in various positions, including bending, squatting, and seated to use a computer. May be exposed to cold and warm temperatures due to varying weather conditions.
