
Ecommerce Associate
Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity
Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity’s Ecommerce Associate will be responsible for launching and maintaining our Ecommerce channel(s) for the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Items will arrive from all three ReStore locations, needing to be sorted, researched, photographed, and listed. Duties include pricing, packaging, and promotions along with assisting with in-store pick-ups during business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitors, writes, and updates product content contained on eBay and e-Commerce websites/portals.
- Works with ReStore Director and other relevant staff and/or volunteers to provide updated content to be shared across e-Commerce platforms.
- Maintains standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, and new product listings.
- Cleans, researches, prices, and lists up to 25 items per day on eBay or other platforms.
- Finds the best shipping prices. Packs items for safe shipping, arranges and manages pick up of packages at the ReStore by local package companies. Drops off packages as needed.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of account-specific SEO best practices, pricing policies, media assets, inventory, and/or pre-orders.
- Drives the sales performance of the e-commerce platform (Online store template; Amazon; E-bay).
- Provides insights into customer shopping trends to support assortment selection and identifies assortment gaps.
- Ensures good customer service by addressing and ensuring the timely resolution of customer issues or comments.
- Works closely with ReStore Director and assigned staff to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Multi-tasks, prioritizes and successfully meets several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ensures that daily tasks are completed by either completing and/or assigning tasks to staff and/or volunteers.
- Facilitates the logical and attractive display of merchandise and in-store marketing of our online store.
- Follows and updates (as needed) ReStore safety standards.
- Helps maintain organization and cleanliness in assigned workspace.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must possess a minimum of two (2) years proven experience managing and maintaining an online store and other sales platforms (E-Commerce, Amazon, eBay)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Possess a strong knowledge of eCommerce platforms including competitive strategies, marketing strategies, product development, consumer research, usability best practices, and industry trends
- Possess a high level of attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced working environment.
- Creative and strategic thinker with strong customer orientation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, lead groups and develop people
- Must pass background check including criminal records and sex offender registry prior to offer of employment.
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and other GCHFH staff.
- Must have commitment to the Habitat mission and uphold its values and ethics.
Preferred:
- An Associate’s degree
Position Details:
- Reports to the ReStore Director
- Job type: Part-time (16-24 hours) hourly non-exempt position
- Schedule: Monday through Friday (hours TBD)
- Targeted hourly rate: $15.00; commensurate with experience.
