ReStore Dock Supervisor

Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore Dock Supervisor provides direction, orientation, training
and supervision of Habitat staff and volunteers to develop and maintain the intake area for the Habitat 
ReStore.  This is a full-time (30 to 40 hrs/week) non-exempt position reporting to the ReStore Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

•    Supervise the dock, the in-flow of donations and the out-flow of purchases
•    Supervise staff and volunteers in loading and unloading trucks in a safe and orderly manner
•    Provide training instructions and protocols for volunteers
•    Evaluate incoming donations for condition and usefulness; identify viability of donation for resale. 
•    Appraise and price incoming ReStore merchandise
•    Managing material handling throughout process, from intake to inventory storage and retail display
•    Designate the location for incoming goods to the construction inventory, repair shop, or recycling as
•    Maintain staging area and garage in an orderly and clean manner
•    Sanitize and log upholstered furniture
•    Provide back-up for cashier and floor operations
•    Supervise other special projects as assigned

This full-time (35 to 40 hrs/week) position reports to the Restore Management as assigned.  Target starting rate is $17.00 to $18.00/hr.

Position Requires:

•    Experience supervising staff, volunteers, and teams
•    Previous dock experience preferred
•    Ability to work independently and/or to lead and support volunteers
•    Experience operating tow motors
•    Demonstrated organizational, motivational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
•    Commitment to creative problem-solving and a cooperative work ethic
•    Capacity to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
•    Continuous attention to detail
•    Ability to move up to 100lbs
•    Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes, and experience with inventory systems
•    Knowledge of building materials
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Valid driver license, experience driving box trucks (14'-22'), ability to read maps 
•    Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office and Internet Search Engines
•    Active participation in Habitat recycling program and encouragement of others to do the same
