About this Event

Identity/Discovery: Where Do You Belong?

What carries more weight: your bloodline or your upbringing? Your gender or your orientation?
Join us for a lively panel discussion on cultural identity and why (or if) it matters.

Friday, Feb. 14

MCC 201
Light refreshments served

Panelists include dancer/choreographer Hervé Koubi, special reporter Harry Boomer and genealogist Deborah Abbott.
Hosted by Tri-C® sociology instructor Vincent Holland, Ph.D.

Living his entire life in France, Koubi learned of his Algerian heritage from his father while on his death bed. The revelation led to a period of discovery and startling artistic output for Koubi. Hear his story and participate in a lively conversation fueled by his experiences.
