Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will sponsor
the construction of hundreds of homes every year
by combining the efforts of Thrivent Financial
members with Lutheran congregations, partner
families and Habitat affiliates. More than two-thirds
of the funding for each home will be contributed
by Thrivent Financial, its members and local
chapters. The remaining funding will be raised
through the ongoing efforts of local Lutheran
congregations and Habitat affiliates.

Thrivent in Greater Cleveland & Ohio Region
Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity and the
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Ohio Region are
building two homes in the Greater
Cleveland area as part of a nationwide effort to
create additional homeownership opportunities with
low-income families. Locally, volunteers will be
needed to help build homes in the Fairfax neighborhood.
Through its chapter members, Thrivent has contributed
564,927 hours of volunteer labor and donated
$4.8 million in fraternal assistance to numerous
organizations in 2004.
Thrivent will be a key participant in and supporter
of the construction of 12 new Habitat for Humanity
homes in the region including two in Greater
Cleveland in 2007 through the Thrivent Builds
Homes program, which is part of the $105 million
alliance Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity.
